You read about all these kinky things that people do with one another and you see it everyday on porn, but nobody ever says, “I wonder what type of lube those people are using” because, let’s face it, that’s the last thing any of us think about when we’re getting ready to have or masturbate. The Astroglide brand is well-known in the industry, with a name that’s virtually synonymous with “personal lubrication,” especially the anal varieties. However, their lineup is enormous and it includes products like O Organic – an oil-based sex lubricant that gets its skin-nourishing properties from the beneficial plants it was derived from. Crafted out of a wide variety of powerful yet gentle essential oils, this stuff is a health-conscious pervert’s wet dream and is even safe for consumption as long as you don’t have any allergies to the ingredients. Designed to stimulate maximum pleasure through minimal friction and created for both men and women, vaginal sex or anal, this luxurious liquid is a go-to product for many people who shop for lubes at their local adult entertainment store or pharmacies.
The Main Features
The product in question offers a unique blend of ingredients as perhaps its most redeeming feature. It contains # different essential oils, 99% of which are sourced from organic derivatives. It can also be washed off with soap and water, but due to its oil plant-based ingredients it may be difficult if you do it too early. This stuff comes in a small 4.5 ounce bottle but a little goes a long way. By that I mean it stays slick for at least an hour before it begins to dry (at least in my experience).
What Comes in the Box?
Lubes don’t usually come with much besides the bottle they’re contained in because, quite frankly, they’re products that reside at the bottom of the food chain. At times, you may get discounts on future purchases in the form of coupons and money-saving codes, but that’s not typically the case. Astroglide is, fortunately, not only good at offering well-made products at decent prices but also at hosting sales quite often. So, while their O Organic oil-based lube is sold solo in a thin, throw-away cardboard box, it possesses everything you need to enjoy smooth, slick sex as soon as you open it. Since we’re on the subject, I do suggest buying a carrying case or storage container because the bottle doesn’t stay closed very good and the product can spill out easily. You don’t get anything like that with your purchase, so plan accordingly.
The Experience
Remembering your experience with something that you frequently use for sex is difficult. You can see and feel the difference straight away, or at least I could. It felt quite a bit silkier than their synthetic varieties, although those are pretty silky as well. The formula is compatible with certain condoms and sex toys too, so the things I ended up doing with my properly lubed-up genitals was legendary.
- The Sensations
Based on my most recent comparisons, the AOO lube presented as a much more luxurious lubrication product than most organic, oil-based types I’ve tried. It was a little on the thick side, but that’s probably due to the plant-based derivatives in the formula. Still, it significantly reduces the amount of friction you feel with dry genitals and/or sex toys, but it doesn’t feel quite as amazing with condoms because it reduces the sensations slightly as well.

The Ups and Downs
There’s no such thing as the perfect pleasure product; I don’t care who you are, what you’re into, or which item you buy. The human race is just too diverse for that to be possible, so any personal lubricant manufacturer who doesn’t admit to the inherent flaws in their product is a blatant liar. Truth be told, the only way to determine the value of anything on today’s market is to either compare it to something else or think critically about the various pros and cons associated with using it. When it comes to the Astroglide brand’s O Organic oil-based lube, here are all the things you should consider before spending any money on it:
